support free advertising for non profit 501(c)(3) organizations like google with its grant program
I feel Microsoft should support 501(c)(3) non profit organizations with free advertising search engine support like google does with its google grants program. as non profit organizations supporting the comunity should not have to pay to let people know the good they are doing in the community and to get support for thieer causes

Thank you for your interest in Grants for Social Impact. The pilot is currently closed as we assess learnings and we are not accepting new handraisers at this time. Once the pilot expands or becomes widely available, we will follow up with you about next steps. I recommend the non-profit registers with Microsoft Philanthropies – https://nonprofit.microsoft.com/#/register. That is the first step to joining Grants for Social Impact and will give the non-profit access to other grant programs and opportunities with Microsoft products.

I agree this is a program that would get Bing Ads wider use and exposure. Our agency is also a Google Partner, we have 5 or 6 clients taking advantage of the Google Grants program for free AdWords clicks.

Please let me know if you decide to do a pilot test program. Bing Ads Grants could be a huge win for Bing and for non profits for tapping into the power of Bing Ads. The Google Grants program is an amazing win for everyone involved. Bing is currently missing out on this amazing PR opportunity. Info@landusky.com

Have there been any updates to potentially launching a Bing Grants program? Is this a matter of resourcing simply or are there legal policies we need to bear in mind?

Hello Bing Ads,
I would highly appreciate a NGO Program with e.g. a budget to use without paying.
And yes: if its free, NGOs will use it. Getting used to Bing Ads might lead to use a payed account as well.
German laws regarding NGOs are very strict. We are not allowd to hotlink Bing Ads. But we sure can see and follow strict rules for a Ads Program. Google e.g. loves to test special features with NGOs to use the results for their paying customers. So: thank you for at least thinking about it.

Nonprofits don't have huge ad budgets. Google Grants allows me to advertise (just basic search text ads limited to max CPC $2-Google blocks advanced features) and get data to support committing real ad dollars on top of the Google Grant. It is really a win win for both sides and really costs MS nothing AND creates goodwill...

Hello Bing ads,
A grant program has been in "evaluation" for six years. We realize significant assistance from the other search engine for advertising the mission and positive contributions made nationwide. Spreading the word is often a challenge and a grant program would benefit many more people.
Please move forward with this grant program. We do appreciate the software side and couldn't do it without your assistance.

I Agree! I so appreciate Microsoft and all the support they give. I would love to see a non-profit program for advertising. Non-profits help to improve communities and give to people who otherwise may not receive the help they need. It is hard to survive on grant funding so we must self-sustain through advertising. It would help tremendously.

In some cases, the cost per click and restrictions and other limits on the grant accounts do not allow the organization to get many clicks. For those who are able to compete effectively with normal paid bidders in the auction, we have been able to get them visibility to their programs to help carry out the mission of the organization.
We could put this program to immediate use in exposing non-profit clients who are currently using Google AdWords to Bing Ads, as well as getting more non-profit clients trying paid search for the first time.

I agree but for an additional reason as well. I think that the non profits each have memberships many of which are very large. Microsoft could make as a condition of giving an ad subsidy that the non profit place on its website an acknowledgement of Bing's assistance with a hot linked logo that takes the users to Bing. That will get many searches that oterhwise Google would get.
Another variant is with the points system Bing is now giving. Amazon has a practice where they allow users to designate 501 (C) (3) non profits to receive a small percentage of the sale -- about 1/2 of 1 percent. What Bing can do is give advertising credits to qualified non profits for the points that their members accrue for searching with Bing. I am on the Board of a Non Profit and we asked all our members that if they were shopping anyway for something that the needed or wanted it, check out Amazon if if they buy something there--our org would get the benefit. This had been a nice source of revenue and I am sure we in turn have gotten Amazon additional sales. THere are many millions of google searchers out of habit who would not switch unles they had a reason to, and helping out their non profit would for many do the trick. The Amazon program is called Amazon Smile.
I am a long term Microsoft shareholder and it although Microsoft came late, the search service is just as good and in a few ways better. Let's get a bigger market share.

It makes no sense to me that this hasn't been addressed. There's no cost to them once it's set up.
There would be no lost revenue as none of us are selling a product. All our ads are strictly informational. I know that if Bill Gates and his wife were aware of this, it would have happened already. Hopefully, a moderator with a heart will escalate this topic. Gook luck to all. -

I'm looking for the same thing... We use google globally and also pay for their advaned ad service in certain countries as well... We just ignored bing up to now, because there is no credits for non-profits
