Microsoft Advertising Feature Suggestions

Welcome, friends!  This is a place for you to suggest a feature you'd like added to Microsoft Advertising, or vote for those already suggested by your peers to help them rise to the top of this feed.   1. Show preview for AdExtensions

    Currently AdExtensions do not show any inline preview - which makes it difficult to see how the final ad looks and also to verify if landing page links are correct.

  2. MSA Conversion process not user friendly.

    Bing Ads recent changes requiring accounts to be MSA linked is not a user friendly process. Would appreciate something more streamlined and straight forward so as to simplify the process. Currently, it's state exists almost backwards in that you have to sign in to be told you can't sign in only to then be directed towards new account setup or linking to a previous one all while being able to click "remind me later."

    Frustrating and not obvious solution unless the remind me later button is found.

  3. Quick View Performance By Device

    Would be nice to get a quick view of this in the main interface rather than having to go to the reporting tab and download a performance report by device.

  4. Negative Keywords with Exceptions

    A negative keywords with exceptions feature, i.e. the ability to add "free" as a negative keyword and then add "shipping" as an exception, so that search queries for "get free t-shirts" would be blocked, but "buy t-shirts with free shipping" would serve.

  5. Bring the "open in new tab" or "refreshing" function back

    It's really hard (more than usual) to optimize Bing Ads in a web browser since you've disabled the browserfunction "Open in a new tab" in your web-interface. It always brings the startpage instead of the linked page... working in multiple tabs is impossible!

  6. Ability to target "Europe" as a region.

    Ability to target "Europe" as a region. Bundling countries within the Europe zone. Currently advertisers need to add each city one-by-one.

  7. ad preview tool

    The Ad Preview Tool is a very useful tool for advertisers who want to check if their ads are serving and also for advertisers who are not in market to check their ads in these markets (for example UK advertisers with FR, DE, IT, etc. accounts) however the tool only displays results from page 1 of the SERP. This is not a good user experience for advertisers in competitive marketplaces who want to check if their ads are serving. Can this tool be upgraded to show all results available in the SERP?

    We don’t expect to change this behavior of the ad preview tool given low interest in this functionality in recent years.

  8. When running report, have the newest report pop up

    Right now when I run a report, the window automatically opens the last run report in the report history tab, rather than opening the progress window for the report I'm running. This is confusing and often leads to downloading wrong report if I am not clever enough to give each report a unique name.

    It also would be nice when selecting options for a report, for instance switching between keyword and adgroup reports, if the settings such as date didn't reset. Also when changing the report from summary to daily etc, please don't change the dates. In addition please let…

  10. Don't require a new ad group when creating new campaign

    Whenever creating a new campaign, it requires the user to create the first ad group as well. I do understand this is done to make it as streamlined and simple as possible for the least experienced users, but for those of us who do this all day, it is a hindrance to the workflow. I want to create a new campaign, save it, then go in and create the ad groups afterwards.

    Maybe there can be an option for this in account settings, for which the current functionality will be default, but a second option would be to not require…

  13. Duplicated Keywords in the grid?

    After adding keywords from suggestion, I noticed in my keyword grid there were many duplicated keywords items, now I figured out they might be using different "Match Type" (is this really necessary to show in 2+ lines??). I can assume if I am a new advertiser who's really lack of knowledge, I might be worried about spending extra money on same keywords.

  14. In the campaigns page, I should be able to see the 'grayed out' Change status without having to select a campaing.

    When a campaign is not selected, everything should remain grayed out, but I should be able to drop down to see the options (without having to click on a campaign to be able to see the options)

  16. Make bad keywords easily identifiable. ie in Red or something.

    When copying my Google Adwords info across there was a problem with a Keyword. The ad was suspended until I rectified the problem. Bing sent me an email saying the problem was with a Keyword. I logged in but there was no obvious way of seeing what the problem was. Maybe display the offending word in Red or something. The offending word was 'M4 corridor' which I was relating to a motorway area in the uk. However in the US and Canada it is of course.... yes a GUN. Brilliant.   17. as an agent from bing ads a customer had made a suggestion to direct customer to the # for support when prompted with failed payment method.

    customer had seemed frustrated that she had to dig and dig for support # vs. being prompted with support when failed paymen method added message was shown. Travis

  19. Cost assumtions and suggestions

    It does take a while for the first time users to figure out how to spend their money to achieve cost / efficiency balance, customize for themselves. I think that is crucial for SMB

  20. Let Franchisees and Franchisers advertise with PPC as a shared bid option!

    Many times Franchisees and Franchisers both advertise in the same area. Both are a team but bid for ad space as competitors driving up the prices for both parties, when the real competition is the other companies. Please add a function that would enable both franchiser and franchisee to "team up" and share bidding for PPC ad space.
